Into the mist, out of the fog

When we arrived at the Château de Touffou for the very fist time, with Chistophe and Martine, it was a misty mid-December morning. Touffou was shrouded in mystery, but we had a job to do that day: to clear some things up!

By noon, the mist had cleared up and a bright, sunny day was there to greet us.

The château was more beautiful than we had even imagined. It is truly a jewel, even in a country that is rich with many such jewels. When I consider the extraordinary craftsmanship that went in to its construction many centuries ago, plus the the 10M€ that the Ogilvy family invested into its renovation, I wonder what it's true price should be.

We found the château to be in excellent condition, extremely well renovated and maintained by the Ogilvy family.

Our investigations were already sufficient to resolve potential deal-breakers :

1/ We obtained a technical audit to demonstrate how to get high-speed internet installed throughout the château and its domain.

2/ We verified the feasibility of installing an elevator

3/ We confirmed that Douglas will be willing to continue managing the château for a while, if terms can be agreed upon. His involvement will be inestimable to begin with.

4/ Between the château and its outbuildings, we could confirm that there is very clearly enough potential to meet all of your family needs, in a variety of configurations.

This is an extraordinary opportunity, and we're delighted it's fallen into your lap.
